Investment round and partnership by BSV Ventures with strategic participation from LAB7, the venture building arm of Aramco

Halide Energy, a Finnish battery-manufacturing company, has concluded a first-closing of an investment round and partnership by BSV Ventures, with strategic participation from LAB7, the venture building arm of Aramco.
Halide Energy is focused on developing an innovative energy storage technology with potential to overcome key obstacles facing large-scale renewables adoption. Its copper-based battery stores power for up to 12 hours, providing a durable and cost-effective solution for long-duration energy storage.
The company has signed Letters of Intent with potential customers and plans to deploy its first commercial-ready installations in late 2026.

Global demand for battery storage is accelerating as renewable energy adoption grows. Much of that demand is for storage that lasts six hours or more – exactly where today’s lithium-ion batteries fall short. Halide’s technology is designed for that gap.
